Katahdin ewes are very good moms. When we have Katahdins due to lamb, we never worry about checking on them. They lamb easily, even bred to the heavier carcassed Dorper. This for us, makes them a keeper and when bred to our Dorper Rams, the lambs just can't be beat. Some of these lambs weigh as much as 98 pds at 4 months of age.
We enjoy are independent, I don't need you attitude of our ewes. And most of the time they don't need us.
